I sometimes wonder if Americans take themselves seriously.

I was just reading a web article about presidential elections and there was a section on debates. It stated that ‘In the run up to the final vote of the presidential elections, both candidates will come together about three times over four weeks to have a mass debate’.

Seriously? Was that really the best choice of words? I don’t think so….
